Cheesy Pepperoni Stromboli

Prep time: 15 mins | Cook time: 20–25 mins | Servings: 4–6

Ingredients

  • The Dough: 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza crust or homemade dough.
  • The Meat: 6–8 oz sliced pepperoni (regular or turkey).
  • The Cheese: 2–3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • The Flavorings:
    • 2 tbsp butter, melted.
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
    • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning.
    • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley.
  • For Serving: Warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Instructions

  1. Roll it Out: On a piece of parchment paper, roll your pizza dough into a large rectangle.
  2. Layer: Leaving a 1-inch border around the edges, spread a generous layer of mozzarella cheese over the dough. Top with an even layer of pepperoni slices.
  3. Roll it Up: Starting from the long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the ends and the seam firmly to prevent the cheese from escaping while baking.
  4. The Topping: Brush the entire top of the log with the melted butter mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Use a sharp knife to cut small slits across the top to allow steam to escape.
  5. Bake: Transfer the stromboli (on the parchment) to a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes until the crust is a deep golden brown and the cheese is visible and bubbling through the slits.
  6. Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley immediately after removing from the oven.
  7. Rest & Slice: Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the cheese to set slightly, then slice into thick rounds.
