🧄 Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) chicken breast or thighs, sliced
- 250 g mushrooms, sliced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes)
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp dried oregano or thyme
- ½ cup chicken broth or water
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Sear the chicken
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet (medium-high heat)
- Add chicken, season with salt & pepper
- Cook 3–4 min per side until golden
- Remove chicken and set aside
2️⃣ Cook mushrooms
- Add 1 tbsp olive oil to same pan
- Add mushrooms
- Cook 5–7 min until browned and soft
3️⃣ Make the sauce
- Add garlic → cook 30 seconds
- Add:
- Tomato sauce
- Paprika
- Oregano
- Chili flakes
- Stir well
- Pour in chicken broth
- Simmer 5 minutes
4️⃣ Combine & finish
- Return chicken to pan
- Add butter (optional)
- Simmer 8–10 minutes until sauce thickens
- Taste and adjust seasoning
